The joint statement on launching negotiations was signed by Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid and his South Korean counterpart during a meeting between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.
President Sisi welcomed the Korean leader and emphasized the importance of strengthening the distinguished bilateral relationship as Egypt and South Korea celebrate 30 years of diplomatic ties.
The initiative will modernize vocational training in Electric Vehicle (EV) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) engine maintenance, while strengthening Egypt’s capacity in technical education and sustainable mobility.
The meeting focused on electronics, electrical appliances, textiles, oil and gas, nuclear energy, iron and steel, petrochemical sectors, manufacturing subway cars, and importing Egyptian agricultural products
By 2029, when the project is anticipated to be fully operational, the companies plan to establish and utilize 778 MWs of renewable energy,
